Objective: The objective of 12 on 12/12 Versus Cancer is to raise awareness of and donations for the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida on December 12, 2011.
 

Why $12 dollors? $12.00 was chosen because:

• We believe most families at every economic level will be able to participate at that amount.
• 12 on 12/12 should be easy to remember and remind everyone of the opportunity to help those in need with a small year end donation.

How? Starting in June and continuing through December 12, SFAC will attempt to contact every college, high school, club, and professional soccer team in the Tampa Florida area. Each will be invited to join this initiative by reaching out to their network of players, fans, friends, and family and asking, them to help spread the word about "12 on 12/12 Versus Cancer". Regardless of the amount that will be raised in December ($100.00 - $100,000.00 or more), families battling cancer will be helped because of you.

Is it possible to reach every soccer family in the Tampa area? There are those that don't believe every soccer family in the Tampa, Florida area can be reached in six months. It will not be easy, however with the help of volunteers like yourself, we can set a high bar for other events to strive for over the next several years.
