Helping Families that Struggle Financially Because of Cancer

Charlie Corbitt, a cancer survivor and advocate, started "Soccer For A Cure" (SFAC) in 2008.

Charlie has been involved in college and high school soccer since 1993. He started a company called Soccer Information System (SIS) with the objective of building web based soccer Scoreboards for High Schools and Colleges. Between 1993 and 1996 high school soccer scoreboards were up and running in the states of Georgia, North Carolins, South Carolina, Alabama and Tennessee.

In 1996 the first national college soccer scoreboard was launched as URL SoccerInfo.com. Between 2000 and 2007 the scoreboard was available via URL CollegeSoccer.com and then InternetSoccer.com and back to SoccerInfo.com.

In January 2008 through 2012 the scorboard became the "Official College Soccer Scorboard of the NSCAA" under the name "The adidas College Soccer Scoreboard" at URL Scoreboard.NSCAA.com.

Based on my association with soccer coaches, players and fans over the last 20+ years by way of the college and high school soccer scoreboards on SoccerInfo.com, CollegeSoccer.com. Scoreboard.NSCAA.com and EurosportScoreboard.com, I believe that we, the US Soccer Nation, working together during 2015 and beyond, have the resources and desire to help families in need.
